On the 22nd of May I took Yellow and Blue to Lagoon. It was their first time. We went to watch my sister clog in the competition there. My mom and nephew went also.
The first ride we went on was The BAT. I buckled the boys in and sat behind them. I tried to talk to them letting them know that everything was ok and that it was ok to scream. I didn't hear a peep from them the whole ride. When the ride stopped I hopped off and went to unbuckle them. Yellow was shaking his head and looked like he was in shock and then Blue had eyes the size of quarters and his mouth was hanging open with a bit of drool off the side. It was so funny!! Needless to say they would not get back on The BAT.
After that we went and rode a bunch of the other rides. The kids were pretty picky about what they'd ride once they figured out that some were scary. Their favorites were the ODYSEA, the JUMPING DRAGON, and TURN OF THE CENTURY. We ate all the yummy food we could stand and then rode rides all over again. It was cold so we tried to stick with the rides that didn't involve water.

I rode a new ride that I'll never ride again. It is called The ROCKET. O
ne side of it shoots you up really fast and then drops you really fast and the other side takes you up slow and drops you really fast. I hated it. I always am afraid that I am going to die at Lagoon and scar some poor little kids for life when they see my broken, smashed, bloody body all over the concrete mixed with popcorn and ice cream. Graphic I know, but true. I also hate the ride that takes you over the park, you know the one with a bobby pin holding your cart onto a cable!! I HATE that one. I spend the whole time figuring out how I am going to get down if it stalls and then add my kid into the mix and how am I going to save us both.

Well, now you know why I don't go to Lagoon very often. Not to mention the fact the
Green gets terminally ill on a playground swing. I love most of the rides, but the thought that I could die is always lurking behind me hidden behind the balloons and smiling faces of the 12 year old that is in charge of the ride!!
LAGOON: It's what fun is!!!
I was always convinced I would die on that mouse ride, where the car almost goes over the edge on a turn...freaky!!! How was the people watching? That is the very best part of Lagoon, all the crazies :)
