FEAR as a factor . . .

Do you believe in using fear to make your kids obey?  Think about it.  I remember when I was a little girl, my sisters and I would tell our little brother that the 'CARPET SHARKS' would get him if he didn't stay in bed.  It worked about two times and then he was over it.
Anyway, I am telling you this because our neighbors found a badger in their backyard and had DWR (Game and Fish) come and try to capture it.  We don't know if they got it,so I am using FEAR as a factor to make my kids obey.  I told them about how mean badgers are and that they could really get hurt so they need to 1) ALWAYS tell me where they are going, 2) Shut the door so the badger can't get in and 3) Pick up there toys so the badger doesn't take them. (I know the last one is a stretch, but they are REALLY scared.)
So mean mom or not, I'd like to thank the badger that may or may not be alive for scaring my kids into obeying.  (At least for today)

  1. I have also heard that Badgers can tear through walls if they hear fighting.....by the way, I am aware the fish and game guys are still working on catching the devilish badger who may or may not be alive.

  2. Melissa, you crack me up! I'm going to go clean my toilets, before the badger rips my eyes out!
