Friendship is born at that moment when one person says to another, "What!! You too? I thought I was the only one." C.S. Lewis
Our family is full of COLORFUL characters. Just like a bag of M & M's. We hope you enjoy getting past the "Hard Shell" that protects the "Chocolatey Sweetness" of our family. . .

They are out there!!!
YEA!!! There are other mother's just as crazy as I am. I love meeting these mothers because it makes me feel like I am not so utterly alone in the world of WILD family fun. I just read the blog of one of these wonderfully crazy ladies and I knew that Heavenly Father had sent her here just so that I would have a friend that feels just like I do. (Or a lot like I do) Wow!!! Thanks so much for great friends.
Kindergarten Round-Up
Last night was Kindergarten Round-Up here in our neck of the WILD west. Blue was so excited to have us come and watch him preform. What an actor. He gets it all from his father, but if it makes us rich I can handle it. We went to different centers with him and worked on our reading/writing, cowboy math, had a play and even learned a line dance. Must say that all the ballet I took came in handy. I was tearin' it up. (Not as much as some people, YOU know who you are) Fun was had by all little buckaroo's and their parents. YIPEE!!
Green was headed to work after "wranglin' cattle". I know he looks thrilled, but it is just the 4 hours of sleep he is coastin' on. All work and no play makes Green a tired man.

Curly Hair Do's and Don't's
Green is very particular about how he would like his girls to look. He hates it when their hair frizzes up and flies all over the place. I don't like it either, but I know a perm is NOT the solution. Anyway he wanted me to perm the girls' hair. Brown's went really well, as it is all cut one length, but Red has that A line bob where the back is shorter than the front. Needless to say her perm was much harder to do. Here are some pictures of their hair now that it is permed. Oh, there is a picture of Blue thrown in too because he felt left out. Enjoy. Happy 31st birthday to our favorite Aunt from Green's side of the family. We LOVE YOU!!!

Perms and Pinewood Derby
Today I permed Brown's hair. I think it turned out cute. She has been sick lately so I haven't got a shot of her hair all cute and done, but here is one of the during and right after process.
Yesterday was our first Pinewood Derby as a family. Yellow and his dad made the car and then we all went to the church to cheer him on. There were several really neat cars. You can tell who made their car and who's dad made the car. Oh Well, I don't care one way or the other. It is DONE!!! I think everyone had a good time. If not, they can be in charge next year!!!

Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon
Ever notice how super fine the 1/2 marathon runners are? Well I have!!! My hubby just ran his 2nd 1/2 marathon today. He and my dad both did really well for their 2nd and 1st 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles). Hubby's time was 2 hrs 40 mins and 24 secs. Dad's time was 2 hrs 42 mins and 45 secs. I am so proud of both of them. Unfortunetly my camera was not at the ready and I only got this rear shot of my world class athlete as he ran past me. WHAT A STUD!!! Love ya babe.
Thats him in the grey shirt and black shorts. (I told you it was an awful picture) Next time I'll be ready!

So it is finally here. In May Green is going to be graduating from the University of Wyoming. We are so excited. I know he is thrilled to be done with classes and homework. I want him to know how proud I am of him for sticking it out and getting his Bachelors Degree. I love you so much and appreciate all that you do for our family. Congratulations!!! YOU DID IT!

Easter
For Easter weekend we went up to my parents farm in Idaho. It was cold, blowy, and snowy!!! The men dug ditch and hauled old equiptment, while the ladies and the kiddies stayed at the hotel. I don't know who had more fun. The guys or the gals. Anyway, we had fun and it was so good to be with my family. I got to spend time with two of my sisters and my baby brother. (Not such a baby at 24.) The kids went on an egg hunt and had a blast and they got plenty of swimming in too. Looking forward to going up when the weather is nice and setting the kids free on the farm. I love my family.
