Salt Lake City 1/2 Marathon

Ever notice how super fine the 1/2 marathon runners are?  Well I have!!!  My hubby just ran his 2nd 1/2 marathon today.  He and my dad both did really well for their 2nd and 1st 1/2 marathon (13.1 miles).  Hubby's time was 2 hrs 40 mins and 24 secs.  Dad's time was 2 hrs 42 mins and 45 secs.  I am so proud of both of them.  Unfortunetly my camera was not at the ready and I only got this rear shot of my world class athlete as he ran past me.  WHAT A STUD!!!  Love ya babe.

Thats him in the grey shirt and black shorts.  (I told you it was an awful picture)  Next time I'll be ready!

Easter

For Easter weekend we went up to my parents farm in Idaho.  It was cold, blowy, and snowy!!!  The men dug ditch and hauled old equiptment, while the ladies and the kiddies stayed at the hotel.  I don't know who had more fun.  The guys or the gals.  Anyway, we had fun and it was so good to be with my family.  I got to spend time with two of my sisters and my baby brother.  (Not such a baby at 24.)  The kids went on an egg hunt and had a blast and they got plenty of swimming in too.  Looking forward to going up when the weather is nice and setting the kids free on the farm.  I love my family.

Caynonlands 1/2 Marathon and 5 Mile Run

So, Green and I went with some of our friends down to Moab to run.  What a beautiful area!!   I had no idea what it would look like, but it was so pretty.  We stayed in a condo with two other couples and had a great time.  What a blessing to have such good and fun friends.  I ran the 5 mile race and Green ran the 1/2 marathon which is 13.1 miles.  Needless to say we were exaushted after the race.  My time was 61: 34 and Green's was 2:52:30.  Once again it was so fun.  I am looking forward to next year.

St Patrick's Day/ Haircuts

Well today I took Red and Brown to get their hair cut.  Red donated 10 inches to Locks of Love.  Brown's hair wasn't long enough to donate.  She had 4 inches taken off.  My mother is so mad at me that she hung up the phone when I told her that I'd had their cut.  Below are my babies with their St. Paddy's Dos.  Also pictures of their new haircuts.

Daddy Daughter Date

Green took Red on their 1st date.  They went to Disney on Ice.  Here are some of the Highlights.

In front of the Princess and the Frog set.
Tinkerbell and friends.  (Ariel was also there)
Best buds.
Green said that when it started he looked over and she was so excited!!
I am so grateful that I have a hubby that will take his "Princess" to girlie things.

End of an Era

Well, I have come to a decision.  On Wednsesday March 17th we will be taking Red and Brown to have their hair cut.  I have enjoyed trying new hairdo's on them, but alas, I am tired of the crying because of tangles.  I have to say I am looking forward to a summer of barettes and short hair.  Red's hair is long enough that we can donate to Locks of Love.  I really hope it grows back as long as it is now though.  People really love her long hair.  Especially her Grandma Anderson.
Here are a few of the do's from this year.

This was our Valentine heart.  Her Pre-school teachers loved this one!
This is just before her Daddy Daughter date to see Disney on Ice.
Curly hair.
