Veteran's Day

Today we went to an assembly to honor our Veteran's.  For the four years we have been attending school here my kids have been trying to get their Uncle Scott to come and participate in the assembly.  Scott is in the United States Marine Corps.   Although he isn't very proud of being a Marine, my sons (and I) are very proud of him and all the people who serve in the military.
The kids sang songs and read poems about how grateful they are for our veterans.  Needless to say I cried through the WHOLE thing.  Singing our national anthem with the people in my community and school kids was awesome.  I am blessed to live in America and am so thankful to those that give their time, talents and even their lives to ensure my freedoms.
Thank you to Scott, my dad David, my cousin Josh, my uncle Dale and my grandfather Ronal for serving.
My family 'supporting' our Marine.
(Did you notice I was 'supporting' the most weight?)

  1. You are supporting the most weight because you are da' man!! (Not literally a man, obviously:) That is so cool that you went to that assembly! I didn't even know we could go? Why don't you call me and tell me to get my fanny over there?
